TRAINING CAMP '08
Team Fine Tunes Their Game
Posted:August 24, 2008

LAKEWOOD, CA --As the gridiron season nears, the Lakewood Lancers are hard at work fine tuning their skills and play formations through out the summer with two-a-days training. The team's intense regimen helps prepare them for what is considered the toughest division in Southern California high school football, Pac-5 Division.

With the leadership of the coaching staff, the Lancers figure to stay on course while taking on Training Camp's challenges, which include both individual and group drills, weight training, conditioning and so much more. The players are focused right where they need to be.

2008 Stars

Training camp is nearing its conclusion for the Lancers, and college recruiters are already making their bids to acquire the services of Lakewood's next crop of super stars set to take the field for the opening kickoff of the 2008 campaign. Among them are returning varsity lettermen Trevor Erno, Italia Chrichton, Aaron Aviles and Jimmy Young. These student-athletes have been recognized for their talent by some of the top schools in the PAC-10, including USC, ASU, and Big East Conference Syracuse as well as Mountain West Conference Utah respectively.

Standout junior linebacker Trevor Erno, while being sought after by most of the PAC-10 and others including Colorado, has recently made verbal commitments to play college football at the University of Arizona next year. He's also been nominated to play in the 2009 U.S. Army All-American Bowl held each year in January at the Alamodome in San Antonio, TX.

We wish all our players the best. -Go Big Red!
